workshop1 hour weekly / 36 hours per semester of study (on-site method)

Assessment methods:
Students must obtain at least 20 points from total of 40 points(control tests, homework) during the semester to be allowed to take an exam. Student can obtain 60 points for the exam. The grade A is obtained for 94-100 points, B for 86-93 points, C for 76-85 points, D for 66-75 points, E for 56-65 points and FX for 0-55 points.
 
Learning outcomes of the course unit:
The goal of the course is to provide a complex overview of applications of different forensic science fields in solving both typical and specific information security incidents occuring in the field of information and communication technologies. To form an ability to effectively react to information security incidents and raise security awareness of the users of information and communication technologies.
 
Course contents:
Information security in the field of information and communication technologies:
- basic definitions, sources, strategic goals and priorities
- interoperability, action plan, digital space from the view of EU, Cyber Intelligence and Response Technology(CIRT)

Software criminality:
- basic definitions, criminal aspects, software programs - forms of protection
- criminals, typical criminal situations, forms of software criminality
- unautorized software production, use, distribution and editing

Criminal behaviour and the internet:
- basic definitions, digital clue, expert examination and prevention, personal data and social networks

Interconnection of acquired knowledge with existing legislation:
- The copyright act
- The public administration information systems act
- The personal data protection act
- The state critical infrastructure act
- The information security act
