Learning outcomes of the course unit:
Goal is to introduce students into the basic theoretical and practical problems of design and implementation of the websites. We use these principles during the term for making simple web applications.
 
Course contents:
1. Introduction, history of internet, design principles
2. Graphic design, functional units design, navigation in hypertext
3. Markup languages -- HTML, XHTML
4. Document style -- CSS
5. Client site scripting -- Javascript
6. Server side scripting -- PHP
7. Web forms
8. XML language, XSLT, DTD
9. XML applications -- MathML, SVG
10. SEO, usability
