Learning outcomes of the course unit:
Being able to work individually with specific economic texts -- analysis, research, report; to write an abstract and present a project orally. Understanding more complex authentic texts and producing coherent oral and written texts concerned with economic topics. Developing communicative skills with regard to students' vocational profiling.

2. The sectors of the economy.
3. The role of government in the economy
4. Fiscal policy
5. Monetary policy
6. Revision and consolidation. Mid-term test. Writing abstracts.
7. Exchange rates
8. The business cycle
9. Keynesianism and monetarism
10.International trade
11.Corporate social responsibility
12.Presentations. Revision and consolidation. Final test. Overall assessment.
