Learning outcomes of the course unit:
The aim of the course is to provide to the students introduction to diplomacy, the role of the foreign service and economic diplomacy as its intergal part in the promotion of external economic relations of states. Second part of the course is dedicated to the application of certain protocolar rules in economic diplomacy.

2.Definitions of diplomacy, history of diplomacy and diplomatic service
3.Management of diplomatic relations
4.Institutional organization of the diplomatic service
5.Economic diplomacy – approaches, definitions, role and instruments
6.Management of economic diplomacy in bilateral relations
7.Consular service and other alternative networks in international economic relations
8.Role of the Commercial Representation in the territory of assignment
9.Export and investment promotion and diplomacy
10.Communication in economic diplomacy
11.Multilateral economic diplomacy
12.Protocol in economic diplomacy
