Assessment methods:
Two written exams in semester. The maximum score is 40 points. Credits will not be awarded to a student who receives less than 50 percent of a written review.
Final exam: The exam is a written test consisting of open and closed questions. The maximum score is 60.

Individual grades of the credit system scale are awarded on the basis of a score, which reflects the degree of success of the course as follows:
A = 94 or more points = 1
B = 86-93 points = 1.5
C = 76-85 = 2
D = 66-75 = 2.5
E = 56-65 = 3
FX = 0-55 points = 4
Learning outcomes of the course unit:
The aim of the course is to give students a comprehensive theoretical understanding of basic statistical methods, their practical application and interpretation of the results obtained. By completing the course, students acquire skills in the field of data evaluation by statistical methods with the support of suitable software.
Course contents:
The content of the course consists of:
1. graphical representation, data sorting, histogram,
2. descriptive statistics (position characteristics, variability characteristics,
3. descriptive statistics (skewness and spike characteristics of the population),
4. basics of probability theory, selective investigation,
5. methods of statistical induction (point and interval estimation),
6. selected tests - mean value, variance,
7. share tests, extreme value tests,
8. empirical and theoretical probability distribution compliance tests,
9. correlation analysis (Pearson and Spearman correlation coefficient)
10. regression analysis linear regression,
11. false nonlinear regression, selection of a suitable regression model).
